Energy conservation and Carbon reduction is an important attitude life, but it is not to go back to the old environment or inconvenient life. As the Taoyuan County government takes efforts to increase the electric buses number and the running line, it can solve the traffic problems and also can make people to do carbon reduction work more easily. The goal of the Taoyuan County Government’s efforts is not only asking people to do the details of life carbon reduction work, but also create a friendly environment for public. After the electric buses officially launched and free for public, it shows the comfort, low noise, no pollution of the riding experience, let people feel the friendly riding environment of the super low floor electric bus, gradually establish a "low carbon urban green transportation network " in Taoyuan County, promote the implementation of energy conservation and carbon reduction, reduce the environmental impact, and create a friendly and comfortable living environment. In order to building the vision of green transportation in this county, the project keeps running three electric buses routes which were the 2012 demonstration routes. It can implement the strategic objectives of the county "Construct Green Transport Network." Through the project, it assists the operation of the electric bus demonstration route, educate people to realize the idea of energy conservation and carbon reduction, create a green, low-carbon, and green traffic city. Finally, to find out the honor belongs to all citizens and enhance the satisfaction of the prefectural government’s policy. This project which ended on January, 2014 and promote electric buses running has completed the following works: 1. Keep the electric buses running route between the Taoyuan County Government and Taoyuan Railway station ( including Dasi line). 2. Keep the electric buses running route in Jhongli city. 3. Complete 10 sessions Shuttle missions with the large advocacy activities. 4. Complete the design and production of electric buses advocacy, including bus outter stickers design , promotional brochures , bus time schedules, banners. 5. Complete the maintenance and updating of electric buses traffic routes and stop sign on EPB website. Furthermore, in order to check the people’s cognition on the electric buses after it launched, the project use the questionnaire investigation to realize the people’s cognition and provide the public opinion which shows the future reference relevant policies of the electric buses to the county government. In addition, the project collects the statistics of the electric bus riding numbers and calculates the benefits of carbon reduction weekly. Through the disclosure of such information, people could understand the benefits of riding the low carbon transportation ( electric buses ).
