Absrtact
In order to assist the Environmental Protection Administration in integrating the information on climate change, the Project has established a portal site “Climate Change Information System” to provide information, knowledge and propaganda regarding climate change; and also offer social sharing, map query, report downloading, frequently asked questions, all-in-one package and user behavior analysis function. We also completed the English and children versions of the website and held 63 person-times of editing group meetings to make the construction of the platform more complete. In coordination with the promotion of low-carbon life practice and adaptation policies, the members of the Low-carbon Living Technology Advisory Group were invited to the meeting of the north, central, south and east parts of Taiwan, as well as one session of national joint meeting, based on issues covering international cooperation, community development and low-carbon industries. At the moment, it has completed the literature review and guideline formulation on domestic and foreign low-carbon cities, to guide various counties and cities in drawing up their low-carbon strategies and actions. In order to carry out local performance ranking and simplify the reporting procedure, the systems for performance evaluation, work forms, rating query for 2014 and 2015 have been completed; 24 sessions of field sampling, result compilation and award ceremony were made in 2014; and also completed the counties and cities appraisal formulation, advisory meeting, exchange symposium and subsidy of counties and cities related issues for 2015. The Project will continue to manage and maintain the “Ecolife: Cooler-Carbon Emissions Reduction Resolutions”. Besides publishing 10 e-papers, updating the latest electricity (water) statistical data of counties and cities, as well as selecting domestic and international climate change news every day, it has also completed the processing of the “Voice for the Climate” film event, which successfully attracted 1,030,992 viewers, with the number of Facebook fans reached to 7,566 people.
