Smart City Simple Air Quality Sensor Network Information Service Project

Absrtact
The air quality monitoring network planned by this project uses a new generation of small air quality sensors for dense deployment. It helps to improve the spatial resolution of air quality and to control pollution. Time series analysis allows to grasp the time trend characteristics, adopt countermeasures and form the hierarchical air quality monitoring system. The top level of the air quality monitoring system is the national stations network with 76 EPA stations in infrastructure. The second level is regional stations network, including local stations and special industrial area stations. The third layer is the Internet of things air quality devices deployed in urban and rural areas by this project; although there is a difference in data quality compared to the larger stations, the cost of this equipment is lower and much more nodes can be installed. The fourth layer is smart community air quality devices or personal mobile sensors. The target of this project is to verify third level sensor devices and to provide the devices and the design to domestic manufacturers, so they can create cost-efficient products for mass production and more citizens can participate in air quality monitoring. In this way, various types of monitoring systems can be integrated to reach the air quality monitoring network in the Internet of things.
