The project of implementing PAS 2060 and ISO 20121 to Taichung World Flora Exposition at 2018

The project of implementing PAS 2060 and ISO 20121 to “Taichung World Flora Exposition at 2018” has been completed as contract, the goal is to assist the Taichung low carbon city promotion office to acquire the certifications of PAS 2060 Carbon Neutral and ISO 20121 Event sustainability management systems to the coming exposition. There are four major works have been completed during the process period of the project, including 1) successfully implemented the ISO 20121 Event sustainability management systems, and identifying the stakeholders, the most important sustainability issues and regulations for 15 related bureaus of Taichung City government. In the meantime, a website of sustainable events has been built for the exposition, furthermore, the “Flora Expo in Taichung Music Festival” has been certified with ISO 20121 which also approved the correctness of the certification implementation to the flora exposition. 2) Completed the Carbon Footprint calculation for the flora expo with the third party verification. The goals of emission reduction and performance indexes of each bureau has been setup with the assistance from the project, and the investigation of the willingness of advance project quota donation from enterprises have completed as well. 3) Conduct three administrative conferences including, first, the opening meeting of implementing PAS 2060 and ISO 20121 to the flora expo. Second, the notification meeting of implementing PAS 2060 and ISO 20121 to the flora expo. Third, the conference of carbon neutral cooperation with enterprises and the assistance of form-fill-out for sustainable event and carbon neutral. 4) Built a website for the flora expo with a 2 minutes video as introduction. The video also competing in the 7th international short video festival for marketing purpose.
