Absrtact
This project has forecasted and broadcasted the air quality via audio media to provide early warning of high health risks for Taipei citizens when the project predict that there will be an air quality deterioration event in Taipei city since April 1, 2018. The video includes air quality forecast, related air pollution knowledge and Taipei DEP’s deterioration response results. Until Decembrer 31, the 37 films have been recorded and broadcasted at Taipei City Air Quality Monitoring website, Department of Environmental Protection in Taipei City official website, convenience store’s digital billboards, on Facebook fan page “氣象達人彭啟明” and “氣象主播簡瑋靚”, YouTube“臺北綠生活 green up”, APP “觀天氣”, to call for the public’s attention to variations of air quality in Taipei City. In order to assist the Taipei DEP to make deterioration response in advance, the project uses the forecast data of the meteorological model, the air quality model and the monitoring station data from China and Taiwan EPA from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The “Taipei Air Quality Deterioration Notifications Report” will be made for Taipei DEP if it is predicted that there will be an air quality deterioration event in Taipei City and reach the warning notification standard (AQI> 100). The 53 notifications have been made, with an accuracy rate of 88%. In addition, the “Taipei Air Quality Push Notification Robot” was completed and connected to the “Taipei City Air Quality Deterioration Response Team” Line group since April 30, 2018. The Push Notification Robot will actively promote the air quality deterioration time, station name, AQI index, indicated pollutants and other information in the Line group as the Taipei City air quality monitoring station reaches the warning standard (AQI>100). Beneficial to the subsequent remediation by relevant units and will greatly save time and manpower for monitoring, especially at night and on weekends. This project continues to maintain and update the Taipei City Air Quality Monitoring Website, it includes the Taipei city’s real-time air quality information and the data is from the Taiwan EPA and Taipei DEP (PM2.5、PM10、SO2、O3、CO and NO2), Taipei 101’s 6, 50 and 90 floors (Concentration and humidity). The website has activities guide, air quality forecasting video, the URL is http://pm25.weatherrisk.com/. Not only the computer website version, the project also made the mobile phone version (Android and iOS), it’s online since June 7, 2018.
