Restaurant catering air pollution control and consultation Plan at Pingtung County -Final Report

Among the whole project year of 2018, Pingtung county Environmental Protection Bureau had inspected 2,039 catering restaurants. It demonstrated there were 1,830 waste air pre-treatment equipment and 996 treatment equipment installed, which is 97.2% and 59.3% in portion respectively. More than ever before, it showed the increase of 5.7% for the pre-treatment and 9.6% for the treatment equipment of installation in comparison of 2017 and reached a record high. 80 catering restaurants were instructed to improve the performance of air pollution control equipment installed which reached a reduction result of 7.29 tons of PM2.5, 8.19 tons of PM10 and 12.49 tons of NMHC were made. In the past few years of projects, the establishment of six environmental catering demonstration streets areas had been planned and implemented. At the second Hengchun Town Houbi Lake Area and at the third of Wanrun town pig-foot street had both maintained 100% installation and operation. At the fourth Pingjiang City, Jiangjun Street had maintained 80%, at the fifth Pingzheng Zhongzheng Road demonstration street with 87% of installation and operation. And at the Pingke Business District in Neipu Town had 85% of installation and operation which reached an increase of 7.4% compared to the previous year. The work schedule of this project was from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The project achievement was presented briefly as following: 1. Establish the basic database of the county's catering industry The project completed a total of 361 catering inspection and guidance operations and basic data construction. Performing catering industry peripheral odor functional determination The project has completed 5 points of odor sensory analysis, and will continue to strengthen counseling and improve the progress of the industry. The program will continue to track the subsequent improvement. 7. Catering industry oil smoke reduction counseling education class The project has completed 7 catering industry reduction counseling improvement briefings, and invited experts and scholars in the relevant fields of the project to give speeches on the theme of "Food Industry Air Pollution Prevention Technology and Related Laws Propaganda and Explanation" to enable participants. Understand the importance of kitchen fume, air and human injury, and provide small-scale catering industry simple washing equipment to improve the cost of the industry, reduce the cost burden of the industry; and explain the current status of the catering industry implementation and future policies to promote the industry Improve willingness and cooperate with relevant policies of the Environmental Protection Agency. 8. Food and beverage industry inter-department promotion instructions The project has completed 10 demonstrations of the inter-departmental catering industry, and invited experts and scholars in the field of the project to give a speech on the theme of "Air Pollution Control Technology and Related Laws and Regulations in the Catering Industry". Maintain and update the food and beverage industry check database and promotion website The project has continued to complete the data establishment work of the catering industry check database and the promotion website, and then continuously update the catering industry related information and related case information to be put on the website for public reference, and to import the review data over the years. It is used by the Environmental Protection Bureau or related planners in the county's catering industry database. 10. Continue to track the environmentally friendly dining demonstration street established over the years In addition to the number of new homes or business closures, most of the environmental protection catering demonstration zones (streets), which have been established through the planning of the project, have completed related improvement work.
