To mitigate and adapt to the impact of global climate change, "low-carbon sustainable homeland" has become the common goal of the world. the results of the implementation of the work are summarized as follows: 1) Maintenance and Enhancement on the Operating System of Sustainable Low-carbon Residences with Performance Evaluation and Examination Our team has assisted the communities to establish and accomplish relevant practices and has filed the certification project report with accomplishment of 3 project certifications in total for the year. 2) Coaching on Participation in Rating Certification Operations of Sustainable Low- carbon Residences Out team has continued with the maintenance and operations as well as assistance to the city to participate in rating certification operations of sustainable low- carbon residences with 2 villages – XinCuo and Zhucun respectively– successfully filed in registration, Duǎn zhú and Yìjiào certified with copper level as well as Xīndiàn Village certified with silver level. Additionally, application of another 13 villages with expired certificates has been submitted. Besides, the operations on maintenance management and track inspection by the subsidized communities in the city (18 in total) have all been affirmed in good condition with their relevant results sent to the EPD for confirmation already. 3) Guidance as well as Promotion on Operations responding to Climate Changes 5 different promotional courses or publicity campaigns on climate changes have been held according to various topics with nearly 400 participants involved. Moreover, 2 sessions of demonstration courses on carbon neutralization have been held, including" WHY not substitute LED bulbs for the worn-out (LED燈、WHY不換)", "107 Non-trace Diets in New Green Life- Bicycle power generation competition." 4) Counseling and Demonstration to Communities with Development Potential to Carry Out Sustainable Low-carbon Actions ＆Demonstration Promotions on Green Roofs 6 demonstration communities have been established with practices including fish and vegetable mutualism, promotion of electric motor vehicles and rainwater recycling. 2 of the green roof farm planted with vegetables with great effect on reducing indoor temperatures, while 1 session has been conducted on education and training of green energy directed to seeded personnel, coaching community volunteers how to grow on the roof. with a total reduction of 6132 kWh and 156 kWh of water consumption each year, Reduce 37,925 kilograms of CO2 emissions. 5) Execution on Inventory Operations of Greenhouse Gas in Administrative Jurisdictions Identification greenhouse gas emission sources and the quantification of emission data in Chiayi City of have been completed; meanwhile, the platform data from the year of 101 to 105 are to confirmed/corrected so as to have the inventory revised and finalized. 6) Other Propagandas on Sustainable Low-carbon Practices 20 publicity campaigns on greenhouse gas reduction for communities and neighborhoods have been conducted on the theme for promotion of common energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures in daily life as well as of important events on international energy conservation and carbon reduction, which are integrated with green consumption promotions, while the involvement have been publicized with 1,870 participants having downloaded environmental protection points.
