Current Status Survey and Analysis on Occupational Safety and Health Management of Cleaning Team in Urban Townships

Absrtact	The project aims to assist the Executive Yuan Environmental Protection Administration to implement a project commissioned to investigate and analyze the current occupational safety and health management of the Cleaning Squadrons in the rural townships and cities of Taiwan. There are two primary target. Firstly, the project team investigated the current occupational safety and health management of the Cleaning Squadrons in the rural townships and cities of Taiwan, secondly, comprehensively analyzed the deficiencies of occupational safety and health management, and suggests feasible improvement measures to reduce the occupational safety risk and to improve health management of the Cleaning Squadrons. The procedures and the achievement of the project are as follows: (1) The design of the questionnaire has been adjusted in accordance with the interviews conducted by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Taichung City, the consultation with the Labor Union, and the comments received from the Bureau. (2) On May 20, 2020, one training session for surveyors was held and the survey manuals and disease prevention supplies were distributed. (3) From June 9, 2020 to September 24, 2020, the project team conducted a survey on the current state of occupational safety and health in urban Cleaning Squadrons in the rural townships and cities of Taiwan. The survey included items of basic information, occupational safety and health measures and related personnel establishment, health protection and occupational safety and health education and training, 2018-2019 Employment Injury cases. (4) The project team compiles the aforementioned information and the deficiencies of the occupational safety and health management of the Cleaning Squadrons and develops feasible improvement measures for the management of occupational safety and health of the Cleaning Squadron. The project team has successfully completed the above tasks and proposed our recommendations based on the results of the interviews.
