The project of international convention and international exchange for promoting the management of chemical substances in 2021-2022.

Absrtact
The achievements of the project include: 1) The information about the review of chemicals and decisions adopted at the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention was collected. According to the collected information, perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) is listed in Annex A, and dechlorane plus (DP), methoxychlor, UV-328, Chlorpyrifos, MCCP and long-chain Perfluorinated carboxylic acid were under review. 2) The information about expanding control of mercury contained products was collected. Through the inter-ministerial meeting, the management measures were discussed and proposed. The project also completed the effectiveness evaluation, revise of National Implementation Plan and renew of achievements on mercury management in 2021 and 2022. 3) The latest information about the decisions adopted at the Rotterdam Convention, list of chemicals that have been concerned as endocrine disrupting chemicals(EDCs) and literature on vulnerable groups was collected. The project also completed EDCs’ reports in 2020 and 2021, and proposed the national management plan of EDCs (phase III). 4) The effectiveness of cross-departmental committee was demonstrated by systematic intelligence analysis, including the visualization of mercury management achievements and the establishment of a dioxin pollution potential map system that can be utilized by the EPDs and other departments to perform dioxin sampling for source identification. 5) The project also renewed the content of the websites, hosted a conference on implementation achievements and drafted popular science articles.
