In line with the policy priorities of the Environmental Protection Administration, in 2011, the goal is to "deeply cultivate environmental education". On the basis of deepening the local network of environmental education, through multiple environmental education and learning channels, link environmental education resources and achievements of government agencies and non-governmental organizations, and integrate environmental issues Popularization and daily life, and then improve the national environmental literacy, to achieve the goal of "sustainable generations". And work with the county government to promote environmental education, expand the promotion level, orientation and scale of environmental education, improve the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values of environmental protection of the people of the county as a whole, join in protecting the earth together, and demonstrate the implementation results of environmental education over the years, and then Conduct environmental education exchanges with international partners.
Due to the impact of the epidemic, related projects and contents have been adjusted. The budget for this project is NT$3,493,914. The project period is from April 23 to December 31, 2011. The work items after the contract change this year include: (1) Miaoli County cooperates with the environmental season and other environmental education-related activity plans; (2) Slow Fishing Coast-Marine Environmental Education and Learning Program; (3) Miaoli County Environmental Education Volunteer Training and Utilization Plan; (4) Miaoli Mountain City Environmental Protection Ambassador Selection Competition - Environmental Knowledge Contest; (5) Vigorous Miaoli Environmental Protection Workers Heroes' Association and Local Administrative Support Project; (6) The 8th Miaoli County Environmental Education Award Selection and Commendation Project; (7) Miaoli County Environmental Education Picture Book Selection and promotion plan. The following is a summary of the implementation results of each work item of this plan.
(I) Miaoli County cooperates with the environmental season and other environmental education-related activity plans
"Love the Earth Environmental Education Action Train Series" was originally scheduled to have 6 sessions. After changing the contract, one session must be completed. The theme of the series has been adjusted from wild lily restoration to wild lily ecological introduction and habitat arrangement.This work item was completed on April 23, 2011. In response to Environment Day-Earth Day, on April 22, 2011, we held an environmental education theater "Who will be the protagonist?" at Chiwen Elementary School, and carried out environmental education promotion in the form of theater, and deepened the impression with breakthrough and DIY. A total of more than 200 teachers and students participated together with bureau chiefs. (Refer to Chapter 2 for details)
(II) Slow Fish- Marine Environmental Education Study Program
The "Marine Environmental Education and Experience Activity" was cleaned up in Hehuanshihu, Qinghai Palace Bund and Yuanli Beach from August 7, 2021 to September 18, 2021. Most of the waste was plastic products and fishery waste etc., and combined with indoor courses, a total of 6 activities and 3 different themes were held. The total number of participants reached 240 students. On October 23, 2021, 1 session of "Slow Fishing Coastal Marine Environmental Education Achievements Exhibition" to promote the recycling of waste and enjoy the video viewing and explanation made by this year's achievements. (III) Miaoli County Environmental Education Volunteer Training and Utilization Project
On October 3, 2021, a special course for environmental education volunteers was held at the Guandong Community Activity Center, in Gongguan Township. Three lecturers were invited to conduct a 6-hour course. The course included community promotion theory and practice, and discussion on climate change issues, Taiwan Shihu introduction and culture, training a total of 40 volunteers. In addition, together with the Environmental Education Center of National United University, they jointly conducted a level of environmental education volunteer empowerment training courses on August 19, 20, and 24, 2021. The total teaching hours are 24 hours, 12 courses, and a total of 23 students completed the courses. They are certificated and highly affirmed this training. (Refer to Chapter 3 for details)
(IV) Miaoli Mountain City Environmental Protection Ambassador Selection Competition - Environmental Knowledge Contest
The environmental knowledge contest is divided into four groups: students from elementary school, junior high, high school, and ages beyond high school. This year, on October 2, 2021, the Miaoli County Preliminary Competition was held at the Campus of the National United University. In response to the epidemic prevention, the Miaoli Mountain City Environmental Protection Ambassador selection competition adopted a split examination, and the examination room was divided into 4 examination rooms. The top five winners of each group will represent Miaoli County to participate in the National Environmental Knowledge Contest held at Feng Chia University in Taichung City on November 20. (V) Vigorous Miaoli Environmental Protection Workers Heroes' Association and Local Administrative Support Project
This year's Environmental Protection Volunteer Heroes Meeting will be handled through online registration and online activities. The registration period for the event will be from October 28 to November 18, and the object is volunteers over 40 years old. The activity includes two checkpoints. The first checkpoint is two quiz games which should answer within 4 minutes. The second checkpoint is to upload photos of working time. Break through the barriers, and the contestants with the highest scores rank among the top 3 in the country. (Refer to Chapter 5 for details)
(VI) The 8th Miaoli County Environmental Education Award Selection and Commendation Project
The on-site visit and evaluation period of this year's committee members is from September to October. This time, there are 5 groups (school group, individual group, agency (institution) group, community group) and 9 units participated in the competition, and finally 5 groups are selected. Units (Nanzhuang Township Penglai National Primary School, Liao Liying, Hakka Committee Hakka Culture Development Center, Touwu Township Mingde Community Development Association, Xihu Township Leisure Industry Development Association) will represent Miaoli County to participate in the 8th Miaoli County Environmental Education Award National Competition and Awards will be presented on November 27th. (VII) Miaoli County Environmental Education Picture Book Selection and promotion plan
In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, this "environmental education picture book selection method meeting" was handled in the form of written review. The committee opinion confirmation form was sorted out and announced on July 12, 2010, and was selected before October 1, 2010. 4 winning works and 6 judging special award works, the above selected works will be awarded and commended on November 27. For the winning works, 2 sessions of 250 person-time campus promotions will be carried out in Miaoli County. Outside the county, the Environmental Protection Department will cooperate with the Taipei Huashan Cultural and Creative Park to participate in the picture book carnival promotion. A total of 450 copies of the top 4 winning works will be printed, online e-books, etc. (Refer to Chapter 7 for details)
