2022 Project of Environmental Protection Charitable Trusts and Administrative Support for Environmental Conference of Taiwan NGOs

Absrtact
This project runs from April 8, 2022, to April 7, 2023. The primary tasks include providing administrative support for Environmental Protection Charitable Trusts, assisting the Environmental Protection Administration in holding the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Environmental Conference, and enhancing the Professional Medal for Environmental Protection. The progress of the project is summarized as follows:  Administrative support for the Environmental Protection Charitable Trusts: This project established relevant standard operating procedures and corresponding standardized forms, as well as reference review units. As of November 25, 2022, this project had assisted in the review of four new applications, provided guidance and consultation in two cases, completed the application manual for Environmental Protection Charitable Trusts, kept a close eye on the Trust Law's legislative process, and consolidated information about amendment proposals.  Assist the Environmental Protection Administration in organizing the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Environmental Conference: This project included pre-conference contact, business management, data verification, opinion formulation, data integration, and administrative support for two sessions to help the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) host the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) Environmental Conference. This year, the Task Management System for Environmental Group Recommendations was established to enhance data quality and administrative effectiveness. The purpose of this system is to collect data, statistically analyze the proposals made by environmental groups, monitor how the proposals are being processed from 2019 to 2022, and then provide a topic and the findings of the statistical analysis.  Strengthen the Effectiveness of the Professional Medal for Environmental Protection by the Environmental Protection Administration: According to the 2021 Re-election Meeting for the Professional Medal for Environmental Protection held on April 26, 2021, four attachments were proposed to amend the Professional Medal for Environmental Protection Regulations by the Environmental Protection Administration, including the addition of a column for individual contribution and a section for outlining the requirements for conducting environmental protection research or inventing environmental protection patents. The antecedent responsibilities for the Professional Medal for Environmental Protection in 2022 were also planned as part of this project, including scheduling, improvement suggestions based on experience, and the creation of promotional plans. On August 17, 2022, a meeting with experts was planned to gather feedback from the committee members and improve the guidelines. The Professional Medal for Environmental Protection platform website, which offers online application services and highlights the accomplishments of former recipients, was launched at the end of November. In addition, the north, center, south, and eastern areas of Taiwan each hosted one of the four briefing sessions for the 2023 Professional Medal for Environmental Protection.
