In order to overturn the old thinking of domestic waste disposal and integrate with foreign new technologies, the Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan (EPA) developed a ʻ Waste Multi-treatment Planʼ in 2017 (execution period from 2017 to 2022) approved by the Executive Yuan and proposed the implementation review report in 2019. Then the EPA executed "Evaluation and Work Plan Project for Constructing General Waste Multi-treatment and Overall Strategic Planning" In 2020, which includes the following tasks:
1. Inventory of the current situation of domestic general waste treatment and reuse facilities.
2. To collect the development and application of foreign waste treatment technologies.
3. To visit domestic waste treatment facility.
4. To investigate the situation of the integrated park of local government and hold regional meetings.
5. To propose general waste treatment technology and improvement suggestions of facilities and strategic planning.
In order to continuously promote the central policy and assist local governments to properly handle general waste and promote energy resource conversion, the EPA commissioned the " Project of planning and strategy for waste multi-treatment and facility " in 2022, to continue to collect domestic new technologies for waste treatment, inventory and update of the current situation of waste treatment facilities, mastering the planning content and construction direction of the integrated park, visiting the operation of general waste treatment facilities, and assisting in "The Waste Multi-treatment Plan-2nd phase (approved by the Executive Yuan on April 15, 2022)", build a system platform for special vehicle and machinery and hold regional meetings, and roll out the overall strategic planning and supporting facilities for general waste treatment technology and facilities in the local area.
