This project commenced on December 18, 2023, encompassing three core aspects: the National Environmental Protection Plan, the Environmental White Paper, and Administrative Support. First, regarding the National Environmental Protection Plan, the team compiled the 2024 Action Measures Consolidation Table, which was announced on the Ministry of Environment’s official website on April 23, 2024. During the project period, an in-depth analysis of the 2020 version of the National Environmental Protection Plan was conducted. By performing a longitudinal comparison of implementation over the years and a cross-sectional comparison of applicability across local governments, as well as benchmarking against international indicators, the team developed a draft revision of the National Environmental Protection Plan. Subsequently, the draft was revised based on feedback from various stakeholders, leading to the restructuring of the framework for the updated revision. For the Environmental White Paper, the team successfully completed the design, data solicitation, compilation, layout, and proofreading of the 2024 edition. This White Paper focuses on accurately presenting the implementation and outcomes of environmental protection efforts in 2023, aiming to enhance public understanding of environmental protection policies. Finally, in terms of administrative support, the team organized and facilitated multiple meetings on topics related to environmental policies, including human rights protection and consumer protection. Responsibilities ranged from preparatory work before the meetings to on-site support and follow-up documentation, ensuring improved administrative efficiency and the smooth promotion of environmental policies. These three core aspects collectively contributed to the successful execution of the project and effectively advanced the promotion and implementation of national environmental policies.
