The 2nd Year Project for Environmental Product Development and Promotion of the 30th Anniversary of the Green Mark and Net Zero Green Life Movement (2022-2024, Two-Year Project)

The main purpose of this project is to expand the range and quantity of Green Mark. The key focuses of implementation include providing guidance and assistance to businesses, enhancing their self-assessment capabilities for applications, and conducting promotional activities. The following summarizes the important outcomes and benefits of the project: Firstly, regarding research, to effectively expand the Green Mark products and locations, the project draws lessons from the promotion of other green products domestically, such as policy, subsidy, and advocacy aspects. By learning from others' experiences, the project aims to use these as references to improve the promotion of Green Mark, address shortcomings, and continuously refine current good practices. Secondly, on the guidance front, the project provided counseling to the industry by setting different selection criteria and principles for various sectors. Through the guidance mechanism, assistance was given to 11 businesses applying for Green Mark for a total of 13 products. This not only increased the number of labeled products but also helped identify practical issues during the process, which were compiled and provided with solutions as important references for expanding labeled products. Lastly, concerning promotion, the project conducted advocacy with industry associations and businesses through two information sessions, one discussion meeting, and a trial promotion in cooperation with one industry association. These efforts were aimed at promoting the Green Mark initiative, encouraging related businesses to apply, and collecting relevant suggestions and opinions for policy development. Overall, the project has not only met contractual requirements and achieved its goals but also consolidated valuable feedback and suggestions obtained during business guidance and event management. This is hoped to serve as a reference for future policy promotion.
