I. Checking, maintaining, and updating database
A. From 2008/10/01~2009/09/30, we inspected and completed 302 public and private companies information update, and discovered that maximum incremental reactivity (MIR) materials were used in 65 companies and 71 manufacturing procedures; such materials included Xylene and Toluene, which were also the most extensively used.
B. After the inspection worked on 302 companies, the emission amount of particulate pollutants were 587.85 tons/year, sulfur oxides were 1,299.90 tons/year, nitrogen oxides were 2,004.68 tons/year, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were 1,672.34 tons/year.
II. Conducting regulation compliance inspection and control on volatile organic compounds
A. There are 171 gas stations in this county, and 97 of them were carried out the regulation compliance inspection work. All of them conformed to standard set by related regulations.
B. Regarding regulations for other industries (PU synthetic leather industry, petroleum industry, dry cleaning industry, automobile manufacturing industry’s surface coating, and semi-conductor manufacturing industry), total number of 22 companies were inspected. Among them, Fuli Technology were held for carrying out a following up inspection work, because the company’s submission of quarterly report was delayed.
III. Pipe and perimeter inspection for volatile organic compounds and odor discharging causes
A. 30 pipes inspection for non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC) were carried out; the completion rate was 100%. Main inspecting object focused on manufacturing procedures that using MIR materials. Among various inspection objects, automobile’s coating manufacturing procedure accounted for the most, and the second was PU leather and printing manufacturing procedures.
B. Regarding pipe or perimeter function inspection or
