This project, lasting from May 2010 to December 2010， accomplished several assignments including the publication of the annual report on National Sustainable Development for the Year 2010，maintenance of the National Council for Sustainable Development website, and assistance to the work of the Secretariat of the National Council for Sustainable Development. The results are summarized below:
1. Publication of the Annual Report
Information was collected from each NCSD working group and interviews were conducted with schools, enterprises, and NGOs with outstanding performance in the area of sustainable development. This information was carefully reviewed, translated and compiled into the 2008 Annual Report. After publication, the report was sent to related domestic and international organizations.
2. Web site maintenance:
The website has been completely updated with improved English content and more international sustainable development news. Important documents and the Sustainable Development Award page have been added to the web site as well.
3. Assistance to the work of NCSD Secretariat
Equivalent manpower of one full-time worker was assigned to assist the Secretariat in organizing meetings of the National Sustainable Development Commission and various activities, as well as compiling information for the Annual Report.
4. Evaluation of 2010 National Sustainable Development Award
The event is divided into preliminaries, semifinals, and finals. In the finals, 12 winners are chosen after deliberation among the judges. The winners are made up of three schools, two enterprises, three NGOs and four governmental agencies.
