Since Greenhouse effects lead to not only global warming, but also climate change, the strategy “energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction” is actively carried out by Taoyuan County environmental protection bureau. Taoyuan County environmental protection bureau drew up the 99-year plan “propaganda for energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction”. By executing the plan, the consciousness “energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction” could communicate to all countian, companies, public or private schools, stores and civic organization. In addition, in the network “Ecolife” built from Taiwan EPA, the individual and group blog could be developed to exchange the eco-experiences and the new information for energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction could be provided. By these propaganda, all countian, companies, public or private schools, stores and civic organization could carry out the activities of carbon reduction by themselves and develop Taoyuan County toward “low-carbon community” and “sustainable county” achievement.
This plan was carried out from October 12, 99-year to April 11, 100-year. It totally amounted to 62 propaganda sessions in Taoyuan County, including the activity of carbon reduction register propaganda, the water/electricity instrument register propaganda, the low-carbon diet propaganda and the active marker for energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction propaganda; 3641 persons participated in these propaganda and the increase in persons who registered in network “Ecolife” was 34,587, the increase in ratio of signs was 1.75% (from 0.43% to 2.18%). The increase in numbers of water/electricity instrument register in network “Ecolife” was 13,078. In addition, the increase in sessions of the activity of carbon reduction (more than 40 persons participated) was 3,079; the increase in sessions of the activity of carbon reduction (less than 40 persons participated) was 393. One low-carbon diet propaganda and One low-carbon bike trip propaganda were hold; 855 persons participated in these two propaganda.
According to the contract, this plan purchased 3000 related inserts, 2000 education complimentary gifts and 500 LED bicycle headlights and taillights which give as a present to the populace in these activities to raise their participation and th propaganda. In addition, the active news and information were reported by the television, media, advertisements and interview (7 times, interview 1 piece, 10P advertisement 2 pieces, 5P advertisement 4 pieces, to report 3 pieces). It is good for the populace who couldn’t participate the activities also to be able to obtain the related news and the propaganda plan enables to communicate to each countian, making the consciousness “energy conservation and carbon emissions reduction” come into their daily life and enjoys their low-carbon life.
