In recent years, people are more aware of environmental consciousness; it means that it is not only the government’s responsibility any more. More and more people also pay close attention to environmental issues. Regarding to this, civil society organizations are striving for welfare for public by starting one campaign after the other. However, many of these released statements contain unjust contents and incomplete negative opinions. These partial statements are spread by mass media, such as news or TV commentators, and it results in people’s distrust to government’s policies.
Environmental evaluation is a long and professional examination needed process. This is not a procedure we, or anyone else, can reach in one step, not to mention be decided by specific person or organization. Considering to the environmental issues we are facing now, we need a comprehensive cooperation between local governments, non-government organizations and civil society organizations. In addition, it also needs to change from the fundamentals, the way what system is working now. When confronting with these difficulties, we are lack of the ability of cooperation, and that difference is the most important issue we are facing now.
By this book, we hope the platform “expert meeting” can lead us to a positive common consensus and re-consider about the meaning of cooperation and communication. Moreover, we wish to cultivate a leader who can shorten the differences between parts; also, build a strong partner relationship as a final objective. In the end, we hope we can endeavor to protect our land, our beautiful planet together.
