空污及海岸地區大城市與全球變遷研究結果之彙整
| 中文摘要 | IGBP有74個國家委員會，轄有海洋、大氣、土地等多個大型研究 計畫，第1階段之成果整合，於2004年結束，並已由數家國際知名的大 出版社陸續出版。目前正在進行第2階段研究成果的綜合整理 (Synthesis)，本工作係透過與IGBP 合作，進行「空氣污染與氣候－供 政策參考之綜合整理(Air Pollution and Climate –A Synthesis for Policy Makers)」，以及「海岸地區之大城市(Megacities in the Coastal Zone)」兩項研究工作之成果整理。 工作報告除了會在相關科學期刊發表之外，並將正式出版報告書， IGBP並將明列資助經費之單位名稱，對日後溫室氣體之減量相關工 作，提供科學依據及政策參考；此外，兩項工作已各完成一份說帖， 將在2012 年3 月26 日由國際科聯假倫敦主辦之「Planet Under Pressure」會議中，由李遠哲前院長主持之會議上發表。亦有可能提供 為Rio+20會議之參考資料，將有助於顯現我國對於國際間環境議題積 極參與之實質貢獻。 | ||

Syntheses of Air Pollution and Climate as well as Megacities in the Coastal Zone
| 英文摘要 | The population on Earth has now exceeded 6 billion and 40 – 60% of that live within 100 km of the coasts. In view of the pressure on Earth the International Geosphere Biosphere Programme (IGBP) has initiated two syntheses, namely the “Air Pollution and Climate – A Synthesis for Policy Makers” and “Megacities in the Coastal Zone”. The Environmental Protection Administration Executive Yuan (Taiwan supported these syntheses and produced two reports. These findings have been presented at the Planet Under Pressure Meeting held in London on 26-29 March, 2012, and hopefully would become the reference material for the Rio+20 summit meeting. | ||
