石灰石加速風化法二氧化碳減量先期研究規劃

中文摘要 石灰石加速風化法可將煙道氣體中的CO2轉變為可處理的碳酸氫鹽溶液,對於國內大型排放源而言,在碳捕獲搭配地質封存技術前景尚未明朗之前,倘若石灰石加速風化法經評估後具備可行性,可增加減量技術之額外選項,而針對中型排放源或周遭缺乏地質封存潛能之產業,石灰石加速風化法則是碳捕獲與封存技術之最佳替代方案。 本計畫之目的在於協助環保署評析國際間礦化封存及石灰石加速風化法之研發技術資訊,透過國際交流活動的推動建立國際合作,同時進行石灰石加速風化法技術應用評估、成本效益分析及環境衝擊影響,綜整後提出石灰石加速風化法技術發展之策略與藍圖,提供環保署作為施政推動參考。

Preliminary Research and Planning on Accelerated Weathering of Limestone for Carbon Dioxide Reductio

英文摘要 Carbon dioxide in the flue gas can be converted to manageable bicarbonate solution by using Accelerated Weathering of Limestone. Accelerated Weathering of Limestone is a viable option for carbon dioxide reduction for large stationary emission sources before the feasibility of carbon capture and geological storage is proven. For intermediate size emission sources, Accelerated Weathering of Limestone is a promising alternative for carbon capture and geological storage technology. The purpose of this study is to assist the Environmental Protection Agency to evaluate the current developing situation of Mineral Sequestration and Accelerated Weathering of Limestone in international context, to promote international and domestic collaboration by hosting symposiums and workshops, and to conduct a preliminary study for Accelerated Weathering of Limestone with regard to technical feasibility, cost effective, environmental impact issues. A strategic roadmap will be proposed to the Environmental Protection Agency for policy making and planning.
