In order to enforce “Environmental Education Act” published by Environmental Protection Administration, Taoyuan County government established the action plan of “Taoyuan Environmental Education Implementation and propaganda Plan in 2012”. In respect to conduct the tasks of the related environmental education action scheme and the promotion and outreach, Taoyuan county government supported the related agencies in the county to carry out environmental education, and accomplished to let Taoyuan County become as a wonderful fairyland of sustainable education and lifetime learning and as a model to other counties.
The above action plan has executed many accomplishments as the following:
Finish the drafts of “Taoyuan Subsidiary Plan and Application Notes of Environmental Education Fund in 2013”, Workstation Performance Evaluation Plan and “Environmental Education Action Projects” were formulated. Seven sessions of “Environmental Education Fund Management Meeting” and two session of “Environmental Education Review Meeting” were held.
Accomplish four sessions of Environmental Education management information system and EEIS declaration system promotion seminars, four sessions of Environmental Education seminar serial activities and twenty-five sessions of Environmental Education seminar to help the participants recognize the related requirements of Environmental Education Act and the operation of declaration system to enhance EP concepts in order to achieve a hundred percent declaration rate. Also get three Environmental Education facilities certified.
Established united advance team and 13 country- town Environmental Education Workstations, which could integrate and assist impetus to Environmental Education. Also, set up Environmental Education Website, implemented various competitions such as EP knowledge, EE ambassador, and short films in different educational institutions, which have accomplished the purpose of multi-learning channel.
Assist first evaluation of “National Environmental Education Award Regulations” was completed. Submit superiors to Environmental Protection Administration to attend retrial. The first prize in the national community group was awarded to Xiutsai Village from Yangmei City.
