This project is mainly divided into three categories. The first one is to process the impeaches of high-emitting vehicles. The second one is to accelerate the replacement of two-stroke motorcycles. The last one is about the government subsidies for low-emission vehicles.
Regarding the impeaches of high-emitting vehicles, there were 80,717 cases reported at Taoyuan County in 2012. It's the second highest among all the counties in Taiwan. Sufficient manpower and resources should be provided in order to achieve satisfactory results to general public in terms of efficiency and quality.
There are about two hundred forty thousands two-stroke motorcycles in Taoyuan County. Considering the high pollution caused by this old model of transportation, accelerating the speed of replacing the two-stroke motorcycles with the low-polluted engines is first priority.
The detail and outcome of this project are listed below:
(1)The process of impeaches of high-emitting vehicle:
The main items include: verification of the reported data, notification, and assistance of tracking and pursuing the follow up punishment. There are a total of 31,978 cases confirmed, 11,818 of which were awarded.
(2)The replacement of two-stroke motorcycles:
The main items include: verification of the submitted application and assistance of appropriation. There are a total of 18,016 cases proceeded, 16,943 of which were confirmed, 1,042 were disqualified and 31 were pending.
(3)The government subsidies for low-emission vehicles:
The main items include: verification of the submitted application and assistance of apporpriation.For replacing the two-stroke motorcycles with the electrical ones, a total of 172 applications were submitted, all of them were approved.For applying for the electrical motorcycles, 563 applications were submitted, 558 were approved.For applying for the electrical auxiliary bicycles, 758 applications were submitted, 732 were approved, 26 were declined.For applying for the electrical bicycles, 1543 applications were submitted, 1479 were approved, 64 were declined.
