The project, has completed the following main events, and the results are described below:
1. The street washing was completed 14,388.3 kilometers and the street sweeping was finished 14,261.12 kilometers. The total length of street cleaned is 28,649.42 kilometers.
2. The total water consumption for street washing is 18,913.96 tons. The water use per month is between 1.23 and 2.36 tons per kilometer, and average water use amounted to 1.34 tons/kilometer.
3. The collected street dust amounts to 79.62 tons. The amount of collecting dust per month is between 2.36 and 14.12 kilograms/kilometer, and the average collecting dust amount is 5.58 kilograms/kilometer.
4. The street washing task was completed 14,388.3kilometers and the total suspended particulate matter (TSP) reductions estimated 198.56 tons. The street sweeping task was finished 14,261.12 kilometers and the estimated reductions in TSP is 196.8 tons. Hence, the street cleaning operations on the project could reduce TSP about to 395.36 tons.
5. To promote the Adopt-A-Road program to reduce maintain cost. There are 35 businesses have joined the Yulin County Adopt-A-Road program. The execution of adopted road length amounts to 11,604.64 kilometers, and estimated TSP reductions is about to 160.14 tons.
6. To improve paving pollution by agricultural machinery during farming season, seventeen paving pollution prevention workshops for rural communities which have larger harvest areas were held; 919 persons attended workshops.
7. Six press releases about the project published on the print media and network.
8. The length of work field check was finished 3,680.4 kilometers, and total completed rate was ＞100%. The results above appeared care and endeavor of this project.
9. The total length of street pollution grade investigation between March 2013 and February 2014 was 1,931.8 kilometers (96 streets). The results of the investigation showed the street pollution main grade of the county is A.
10. Examining streets dust loadings before and after the street cleaning operations for 32 spots and checking of water quality of operating water were completed. The total completed rate was 100%.
11. The external examination of this project was held on July 30, 2013. And it was rated as excellent (A grade) by the committee.
12. To make a deeper impression on the public in street cleaning operations and enhance this conception, planning some education public awareness activities, including held the drawing competition, street cleaning operations demonstration seminars, agricultural pollution prevention demonstration seminars and the satisfaction questionnaire. These activities helped increasing visibility for the project and could be used as reference for carrying out follow-up plans.
