To aid EPA in advocating general waste management, this project has adopted various promotional strategies to maximize the effect of advertising on waste management, resource recycling, and related policies. This project considered “waste reduction at the source” as the main publicity point from which a number of key points and action plans were initiated and proposed according to the status and objectives of policy development, which was to increase the effectiveness of promotion.
By holding several events and press conferences, this project was able to promote waste management policies more effectively. These activities include the “2011 Evaluation Meeting for Waste Management Business” the public viewing of “Resource Recycling and Zero Waste. Everything has an appropriate place to go to achieve sustainability,” “Low-carbon Garbage Truck Introduction and demonstration,” and integrating the programs “2013 Taiwan International Green Industry Show” and “Experiencing Low-carbon Garbage Truck.”
Moreover, this project has conducted review assemblies with the EPA and local governments to address general waste clearance. In these meetings, a disposal operation policy was drafted, and a complete analysis report of the project funding was submitted. Specifically, by investigating the cost and utilization of the general waste clearance and disposal fund and analyzing the challenges in its implementation, the project strategized general waste clearance and disposal operations to facilitate the implementation of the program in the local sectors.
Lastly, videos and photos were taken to document all events associated with the program during its entire duration to evaluate the success of the events. The recorded materials will also be used for future target setting. These measures enabled the implementation of the project and facilitated the formulation of waste management policies that can promote awareness of waste management and resource recycling.
