Completed the processing and reviews of 554 Green Mark IT product certification applications, including 448 applications for Green Mark IT product categories, 92 applications for Green Mark IT product categories with EPEAT qualifications, and 14 applications for revisions of certification.
These applications cover mostly computer systems, multifunction devices, notebook computers, monitors, printers, original printer cartridges, and recycled toner cartridges. This result indicated that the current government green procurement requirement is still the greatest incentive for the manufacturers to apply for Green Mark certifications, as Green Mark product categories with the most applications are also the categories with the greater government procurement spending, especially the consumerables, computer systems and notebook computers.
The statistics on processing and reviewing of Green Mark applications show that the average time to process the IT product applications (from submission of application to award of certification or reject of application) is 36 days, while the average time for applicants to submit supplementary documentation is 18 days, and it took the Environment and Development Foundation an average of 18 days to actually process the applications (including initial document review, review of supplementary documentation, and schedule and conduct on-site audit).
