In order to amend wastewater regulations system, the main achievement of the project is to review and draft “Water Pollution Control Act”, assist to amend filling instruction of regular testing report form, water pollution control measure plan form and permit application form as well as assist legalization announcement. Moreover, for completing industrial CWMS relevant regulations, this project assists to announce “Water Pollution Control Measures and Test Reporting Management Regulations” Paragraph 1 of Article 105.
In the part of industrial wastewater management, with the amendment of “Water Pollution Control Measures and Test Reporting Management Regulations” this project compiles Q&A for implementation and aggregates legal interpretations which should be amended. This project also assists significant violation industries to install CWMS as well as review the management strategies for unregulated livestock and port industries. In addition, this project have assisted to conduct the development and negotiation of pollution prevention methods and confirm future implementation methods, including work division for all level authorities, improvement guidance, review and future reference mechanism.
For application of wastewater information database systems, this project has strengthened the functions of abnormal data analysis and improve the function of information management system with EPA’s integration work of air, water, wastes and toxics management system. Moreover, in order to comply with “Personal Information Protection Act”, the functions of internet identification, personal information collection notification, personal information fields control under whole batch inquiry report and database file encryption were included in the wastewater information database systems. Finally, the project also helps EPA to publicize water pollution control policy and regulations, conduct the water pollution examination and explanation conferences, compile industrial wastewater management E-newsletter and reply public inquire or request by email.
