Countries around the world reach a consensus on mitigating the impact of climate change because they have been suffered by extreme weather patterns continuously. Thus, the United Nations declared a series of Acts including United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Kyoto Protocol, etc. Particularly, more than 99% of the energy used in Taiwan depends upon imports, resulting in a more severe risk of climate change. In view of the situation, the Executive Yuan has committed target of returning to 2005 emissions levels in 2020. In order to approach this goal, the tasks of this project contain aspects of information and practice respectively, including publishing journals of financial Mechanism trends among nations and assisting to complete project analysis for “Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction Action Plans” held by the Executive Yuan. By improving functions of the “Registration Platform ” and joining international affairs , we hope that low-carbon homeland and sustainable development will occur in our country.
