To improve the efficiency and quality of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) review, a panel of experts was organized to check if the developers follow the Environmental Impact Assessment Working Standards for Development Activities and the relevant regulations to assess the potential impacts on the environment, and make comments on the EIA documents undergoing the scoping procedure. The comments of each subcommittee meeting have been collected and organized and the correctness and completeness of the comprehensive overviews have been checked to assist the EIA committee in grasping the review details of each EIA case. Furthermore, to respond to the revisions to Environmental Impact Assessment Act Enforcement Rules and make the EIA reviewing system work better, 21 EIA cases were analyzed to identify the issues not competent to the environmental authorities, the checklist needed to be filled in before the industry competent authorities forward the EIA documents was drafted and one symposium was held to collect the comments from the industry competent authorities.
