This is the second year of Establishing Northern Taiwan Environmental Education Regional Center Work Plan. Northern Environmental Education Regional Center (NEERC) is aimed to be a collaborative leader in the region, strengthening the field of environmental education throughout Northern Taiwan. In order to implement the concept of EE Capacity, learning communities were organized and operated this year. Moreover, the model of resource inventory in Northern Taiwan would be built.
The report mainly introduces the finished works in 2015. Organizing and operating the learning communities is one of the main strategic action plans. With various environmental themes, four learning communities are running this year, including Ocean Protection, Eco-City, River Learning and Environmental Learning Center. Through building connections, integrating resources and providing learning opportunities, partners from different fields are working and learning together. On the other hand, NEERC mainly leading the works as follows: establishing the professional training institution, promoting international cooperation and learning, connecting partners and building the evaluation mode for Regional Center. The 2015 International Environmental Education Conference was held to emphasize the topic of urban environmental education. To provide learning opportunities, workshops and partners meetings were organized every month. Further, Program Logic Model is used to examine the execution and outcomes of related works. Combining sustainability and innovation, the goal of building a resource sharing platform for Environmental Education with diversity and equity would be achieved.
