The project has been conducted according to schedule and completed 100% of the progress as required for the final report. The 12 major work items and their progress are reported as follows: (1) Collection of foreign low carbon city regulations and case studies (has completed 7 case study reports) for future planning reference; (2) Establishment the future 4 years strategic plans for low carbon city promotion office (has completed 13 sessions of strategic plan discussion meeting，submitted the implementation report and handbook); (3) To conduct a comprehensive study for building Taichung low carbon city (has completed the final report); (4) Assistance to works related to “Taichung City Autonomous Regulations for the Promotion of a Low Carbon City” (has completed 3 sessions of meeting related to the revision of the autonomous regulations); (5) Holding low carbon community training classes and promotional activities (has completed training to 205 people and held 20 sessions of promotional activities); (6) Assistance to Taichung City in participating international conference (has completed assistance to the city government in participating the ICLEI World Congress 2015 and COP 21 related meetings); (7) Holding the low carbon city professional meeting (has completed the meeting with the invitation of 15 professionals to join the discussion); (8) Holding the low carbon city press conference (has completed 3 sessions of the press conference); (9)Assisting the low carbon office in holding 10 sessions of divisional meetings, 4 division chief meeting and 2 board meetings; (10)Holding one session of the low carbon forum; (11)Successfully assisted Taichung City to join the ICLEI Compact of Mayors and received the Compact of Mayors Compliant Logo; (12) In compliance to EPA internal auditing requirement. All of the above achieved work items have helped to establish greenhouse gas management for Taichung City towards the development of a low carbon life circle in central Taiwan.
