Under the increasing need of products’ carbon footprint calculation, the basic use of ability to expose the carbon footprint of information construction, has become the government and industry to achieve carbon reduction targets, declared outside an important communication tool of its corporate social responsibility and green marketing to public. The purpose of this project is to provide a localization of the domestic industry through continuous implementation of the development program, the applicability of the high quality of the carbon footprint coefficients, and thereby enhance the basic disclosure information ability of Industry. The following, which has summarized the work plan of the project to date in implementing the important results: (1) Have completed build and update total 53 carbon footprint emission factors this (104) annual and will significantly reduce the time to perform all sectors of the domestic industry to calculate the required inventory of carbon footprint and cost when those coefficients once been confirm and Included into database, (2) A total of 166 carbon footprint coefficients passed the three stage reviewed and approved. According to statistics, the amount data of carbon footprint factor has accumulated to 321, and can be widely supported plastics, textiles, metal products, construction, electronics & semiconductors, etc. more than 30 industry's need of carbon footprint calculation, (3) All the functions of platform has been up to date and free to use, included News, carbon footprint database, inventory lists, project management, records management, and data quality etc. more than 20 modules’ build.
We recommend that government agencies should continue invest and support the loicalize raw materials carbon footprint database and attending Asia-Pacific carbon footprint internet communication and coordination meetings to satisfy all sectors of the domestic industry's carbon footprint extensive computing needs, and capture the latest international trends.
