含氯碳氫污染物環境鑑識技術建置與應用計畫

中文摘要 本計畫聚焦於含氯碳氫化合物污染場址,計畫目的在於建立污染來源關聯性不明場址,應用穩定同位素平衡重建技術方法進行污染來源判識解讀或釐清污染責任。計畫目標包括:(一)蒐集國內外文獻,彙整可應用於因施行整治工法或自然降解而致污染物濃度或型態發生改變場址之污染來源關聯性判釋方法;(二)建立污染場址不同來源化合物的穩定同位素特徵資料庫,評估辨識該化合物是否為原生污染物方法的可行性;(三)探討污染物在環境經質傳過程後之同位素特徵變化,評估不同環境基質中污染物穩定同位素特徵比對的可行性;(四)遴選國內整治中之含氯碳氫化合物污染場址,建立進行污染來源關聯性判釋方法與驗證工作;(五)依據本署實際需求,篩選國內污染來源關聯性不明或污染來源不明確之含氯碳氫化合物污染場址,進行調查分析工作;(六)研擬污染來源明確之判定準則與污染來源關連性之判定方法。 計畫成果包含擬定利用穩定同位素判定含氯碳氫化合物污染來源關聯性指引與含氯碳氫化合物污染源區判定參考手冊。本計畫評估與建立可用以判釋污染來源關聯性之方法,並針對國內污染來源明確進行技術驗證。同時,針對不同來源與揮發、吸附、溶出等環境質傳之含氯碳氫化合物進行穩定同位素特徵研究。實場驗證部分,依據優先或急迫性需求,選定六處國內含氯碳氫化合物污染場址,應用環境判識技術在調查污染來源。本計畫成果有助於後續發展環境判識調查技術,有效提升含氯碳化合物污染場址之調查成效。

Development and Application of Environmental Forensics for Contaminated Sites by Chlorinated Hydrocarbons

英文摘要 This project focuses on the chlorinated ethenes (CEs) contaminated sites. The purpose was to apply environmental forensic techniques, especially the compound specific isotope analysis (CSIA), for source identification at contaminated sites. The objectives of this project includes: (1) Collecting and reviewing the published literatures and research reports about natural degradation and remediation cites technologies, and providing interpretation methods. (2) Investigating and characterizing the fingerprints of CEs various sources, and evaluating the mother compound identified methods. (4) Investigating the stable isotope fingerprints change of pollutants through mass transformation, and evaluating the feasibility of the comparison in environmental matrix. (5) Based on actual needs of EPA, investigation and identification of CEs sources at contaminated sites. (6) Developing and manual for identification of CEs sources zone at contaminated sites.and the guideline for CEs sources identification at contaminated sites with CSIA. The achievements of this project included developing guideline for CEs sources identification at contaminated sites with CSIA and manual for identification of CEs sources zone at contaminated sites. We also successfully developed CSIA of carbon, chlorine, and hydrogen stable isotopes for the selected chlorinated organic solvents in different sources, evaporation, sorption and dissolution. As the ultimate goal of development CSIA is to provide critical information for source identification, four domestic sites contaminated by CEs were selected for practice. With the achievement of this project, the field-need oriented CSIA was developed and the results of field practice showed that this technique is promising and indeed can provide unique information about the sources.
