The purpose of this project is to strengthen the import waste management system and promote the optimization of waste treatment through the following approaches.
1.Summarize and analyze the waste import management regulations of EU, Japan and China and propose the inclusion of suggested formula for financial guarantee or liability insurance to the examination process of waste import；
2.Complete the articulation of import data from 2015 to 2016, to track the flow of imported industrial waste. Considering that automatic articulation involved the issue of database linkage, this project suggests that ex-ante feasibility assessment is required before the construction of automatic articulation system；
3.Propose the principle of inclusion / elimination of industrial waste in demand as industrial materials for industrial use (draft), which provide basis for decision-making with regards to the inclusion/elimination of industrial materials. Expert seminars and industry visits were also conducted, to adjust the notice draft of "Types of Industrial Waste Required as Materials for Industrial Use". Lastly, this project also proposed corresponding C.C.C. Codes for the items on the list, which favors future implementation of waste input management；
4.Research the handling procedures and air pollution prevention equipment applied by foreign processing agencies and provide suggestions regarding the design, operation and maintenance of gravity settling chamber, cyclone dust collector and bag dust collector；
5.Research the technical guidelines on transboundary movements of electronic and electrical waste and used electrical and electronic equipment.
