The sources of fugitive particulate emissions in Chiayi city come mostly from constructions. Additionally, the inconvenience, noise, pollution, etc. that constructions cause are most commonly complained by civilians. Besides supervising constructors through inspection process to execute pollution prevention, this year we elevate quality of control by ten friendly measures such as beautifying of fence, greening bare land and road-adoption are taken this year, to make the practitioners not only conduct prevention of main construction body, but also add environment beautifying and good-neighborliness, to promote citizens’ right of good living environment.
In governance of air pollution from construction, as per the project 2,100 inspections of construction sites have been implemented.100 percent of the inspections comply with the Regulations of Management Measures and 86.78 percent of those comply with the Management Measures for Level-1 and Level-2 Construction Sites. The TSP production is 928.55 tons; the TSP reduction is 668.78 tons with the reduction rate 72.02 percent. The following are other implemented tasks: a construction site and noise pollution prevention propaganda meeting is held once, advancing road-adoption up to 3,838.796 kilo-meter including 20 places is promoted, 47 fences are beautified and greening 107.407.5 hectares of bare construction sites, 35.67 tons of environmental protection oil paint and 581.028 tons of environmental protection building materials are used, 5 CCTVs are set, and 15 places are pasted with road-adoption lines.
In statistics of noise of construction site, there are 417 initiative inspection cases of construction site noise, reaching 100 percent of the work target 417/400), wherein the average inspection frequency is 2.03 times, and there are 204 places in control after inspection. There are 176 places with related measures of sound insulation, 55 places with vibration isolation and 198 places with positive action of noise reduction. So far, the plan has accepted and heard 79 cases of construction site noise.
