This project is based on "Executing Estimation of Municipality, County and City Environmental Government Organizations Promote Climate Change Actions" from Environmental Protection Administration (referred as EPA), not only assist the control and collection of all practicable actions on low-carbon and adaptation from bureaus, but also promote climate change concept to bureaus and citizens by holding related conferences.
Three important strategies as main promoting topics for this year are "Promoting low-carbon and green energy industries", "Building a low-carbon and livable surrounding" and "Implementing low-carbon life rhythm". By collecting the promoting projects and contents from bureaus on Low-carbon Green City Operation platform, this project now had completed collections of 34 key projects from Environmental Protection Bureau, Fire Department and Department of Water Resources. In order to improve municipal staff's concept and executive ability on climate change, this project conduct capacity building activities on climate change adaptation, to assist bureaus gradually combine climate change ideas into the policy planning.
As for GHG emission inventory registration and carbon neutralization promoting works, after "First group of GHG emission inventory registration sources" announced, the control list should be update every year, so this project assist to establish GHG application targets update system and the reviewing procedure follow-up. After renewing the list, in total 64 companies have to report and register GHG emission in Taoyuan, including 30 special manufacturing industries and 34 companies with annual emission more than 25 thousand tons. This year there are 28 companies more compared with 2015. This will help the city to control industry's GHG emission.
