In order to promote the concept of green purchasing to all levels of government sectors, non-government sectors and industrial companies,furthermore to the communities, district offices and finally to everybody’s daily life, New Taipei City Government Environmental Protection Bureau continuously encourage more private business sectors to produce green products. Also, by emphasizing on the promotion of green consuming and encouraging everyone and private business sectors to commit on green consumption, the problems of environmental pollution can be reduced. The major work of this plan is to promote green consumption. New Taipei City Government Environmental Protection Bureau hopes to achieve the goal of reducing carbon footprint and build environmental friendly homes. There are many events that are being held, like the promotion of green purchasing, green consumption that includes
promoting the concepts, checking green stores, consulting and building green canteens, promoting environmental citizen seminars that includes facilitating green consumption marketing channels (green stores, star-level eco-friendly restaurants, eco-friendly hotels), encouraging private business sectors and groups to execute green purchasing,promoting campus green consumption, consulting the operation of green canteens, evaluating green purchasing at all levels of public, private and
industrial companies, promoting green wedding, making commercial advertisements and maintaining and managing the websites and policies, etc. The and details results of these events are listed as followings.
