The briefly major outcomes of this project are as following: (1) We have joined the OEWG 10 and taken back the update information waste management. In addition, discussion of E-wastes, Policies/legislation or regulations and laws, detailed execution, problems solution, and schedules of PACE for Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal were suggested; (2) The Chinese and English version website pages of Basel Convention were already updated 12 times and maintained monthly. Since the version of website information pages were old enough, the function and information security management were suggested and recommended to be improved; (3) Accompany of the 6th International E-Waste Management Network Workshop held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was performed. In order to improve the safe or available recycling, disposal, and management for E-waste, experience sharing of waste management of Taiwan were also conducted that can enhance the overall environmental management abilities; (4) The application document review and evaluation of domestic transboundary (including export and import) movement of industrial wastes were finished. From project execution day to December 15, totally 33 hazardous wastes exported proposals application but none of hazardous wastes imported were found. In addition, totally 17 proposal application were evaluated including 12 revised and 10 under-review proposals. The improvement of proposals processing and management were also conducted by important item lists and consistent procedures; (5) The five expert and representative workshops were well organized and held. The topics were “Collection and trace of waste cooking oils in Taiwan” (5/27/2016), “Collection and trace of waste oils in Taiwan” (6/24/2016), “Global management and control of waste tires” (8/30/2016); “Global definition of wastes and non-wastes” (9/30/2016), and “The discussion of technical criteria for waste transboundary movement of used electronics and E-wastes” (10/28/2016). The problems and suggestion of attendants were also recorded and recommended for each workshop.
