This project is scheduled from June 7, 2017 to June 6, 2018. The main tasks cover 3 major aspects: inspection and management of air quality purification zones, bare ground assessment and improvement, and indoor air quality check and management.
In the aspect of air quality purification zone inspection and management, monthly on-site inspections of a total of 30 air quality purification zones were completed (total: 360 times for all zones), total carbon sinks amounted to 1246.418 metric tons/year; and the public were encouraged to adopt 21 air quality purification zones, the total adoption area is 16.01 hectares.
The Taiwan Government subsidizes the Taoyuan Municipal Government Bureau of Agriculture in organizing the set-up of an air quality purification zone in the “Guo Ling Forest Park”. This zone has an area of 2.7 hectares. We have completed 2 demonstration sites for the improvement of bare ground in air quality purification zones (Tong De Environmental Park and Longgang Forest Environmental Park) with high usage rates and serious bare ground conditions. This effectively suppresses fugitive dust.
In the aspect of bare ground assessment and improvement, 6 general bare ground assessments have been completed. Landowners used natural green cover to complete 6 bare ground improvements, with a total green cover area of 2.5254 hectares. This effectively reduces fugitive dust pollution in bare grounds (TSP reductions : 0.8939 metric tons, PM10 reduction: 0.4469 metric tons) with the benefit of environmental greening.
In the aspect of indoor air quality check and management, a total of 303 on-site checks and indoor air quality inspections were completed. Re-inspections and follow-up improvements were conducted for 3 sites failing CO2 inspection; Inspection agencies certified by the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) were appointed, adopting the EPD's published inspection method, to conduct indoor air quality checks on 31 published listed indoor venues under control. This leads to an effective understanding of current indoor air quality in various types of venues under control. 6 on-site expert inspections were conducted to improve the operation. These effectively assist indoor venues in improving indoor air quality. Through the organization of 2 indoor air quality meetings, relevant regulations and indoor air quality maintenance and management methods will be explained and taught, in order to effectively improve indoor air quality in indoor venues in Taoyuan City.
