Soil and groundwater contaminations of trichloroethylene (TCE) are investigated in this project to evaluate the contaminated area in Xiangshan Industrial settlement. In-situ remediation of groundwater contamination is conducted at two prioritized sites by stepwise injection of bionutrition. According to the analytical results on September 2019, TCE concentrations of two sites are both lower than controlling standard of Taiwan EPA. The contamination has remediated which meets the goal of 40% concentration reduction of this project. Moreover, two paddy soil contamination sites of heavy metal at downstream area are also completed remediated. The plausible source and mobilization pathway of heavy metal are proposed in this project. These two paddy soil site has already verified by EPB and released on December 2018.
