The Environmental Protection Administration of the Executive Yuan (EPA) entrusted the special Project “Industrial Waste Management Policy Formulation” to Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) this year. This project extends the achievements made in the formulation of industrial waste management policies of the EPA in the past years and continues to improve the management of industrial waste strategy proposed. At same time, through the research on the output of waste wood in our country, the flow of current situation, the way of reuse, the investigation on the acceptable capacity of boilers and acceptance standards, and other related measures such as demonstration counseling and implementation, this project enhance the reused of industrial waste to achieve the of maximum efficiency of resources effective used. This project conducts inspections on the operation of various the Environmental Science and Technology Parks and assists Hualien Environmental Science and Technology Park to development its own activation measures. In addition, the project also proposes a chain-based promotion program centered on the park and promotes the recycling of industrial waste to achieve goal of zero waste.
