The number of diesel construction engineering machines approaches to one hundred forty thousand, and most of machines age from 10 to 15 years about 34%.In order to control the pollutant emissions of diesel construction engineering machines, the plan divides into two aspects and proposes control strategy, inclusive of the new manufacturing/imported and the in-use. Including the construction machinery imports about 5,000 each year, assuming the useful life of about 20 to 30 years, estimated to be used in construction machinery about 100,000 to 150,000.
Considering the urgency and feasibility to pollution control of construction machinery, the project plans to control first that the largest number of construction machinery. The plan refers to the Free Acceleration Smoke Test of Japan,which is the highest proportion of imported machinery (Japan, accounting for 80%). Regarding the source control of imported construction machinery,it involves the discussion of law enforcement and inter-ministerial meeting. According to the committee, the method of measuring the construction machinery in situ with ISO 8178 part 2 include CO, HC, NOx and PM.Before implement emission standards , the plan suggests that to establishment of the registration system of construction machinery, and promote the identification of construction machinery identity and self-management of the mark.
Among of particulate matters emitted from diesel construction engineering machines, PM2.5 is about 88% or more. For the purpose of improving emission of PM2.5 and smoke to comply with the standards, it can be with the aid of maintenance and installation of diesel particulate filter. Maintenance involves adjusting injection nozzle and injection pump, and so forth.
