The project deploys 100 air quality sensors in the Minxiong and Touqiao Industrial Zo nes and neighboring communities in the Chiayi County to identify pollution sources. Before August 30, all the sensors are passed the precision comparison with EPA Chiayi station and completed the deployment based on the approved detailed plan . The monitoring data uploading rate is above 90% during September. The on-site side-by-side parallel comparison operations are completed from September to November.
Based on the cumulative monitoring data from September to December, combined with the EPA IoT platform and the Smart Air web analysis tool, the small -scale air quality status are collected and analyzed for future reference.
For abnormal events, we can quickly grasp the abnormal high value through the Smart Air PM2.5 5-minute real-time regional standard deviation with high-value threshold alarm mechanism, and then automatically link the spacetime
analysis tool to distinguish whether there is pollution diffusion or only a local temporary abnormality. The VOC sensor used is sensitive for the organic compound gas species which is prone to redox reactions. We can identify the general VOCs high value region by calculating the monthly average value of the VOC for each sensor and converting to statistics Z score. The sensors with Z score above the 0.5 standard deviation are classified as the
high value hot zones. For the sensors that are classified as the high value hot zones for 2 or 3 months, those zones can be listed as a reference for further analysis and control.
