"Emergency Prevention Measures for Serious Air Quality Deterioration" is legislated by Environmental Protection Administration of Executive Yuan in accordance with Article 14 of the Air Pollution Control Act. It was amended on September 20, 2008 and revised on August 2, 1982. Due to the amendments to air pollution control regulations and air quality standards, PM2.5 are included in the regulation, and the air quality deterioration grade of PM2.5 is updated. At the same time, "Air Pollutant Concentration Conditions and Pollution Source of Air Quality Deterioration Warning Area Control Essentials" is adjusted and announced on June 9, 2017.
The Project from September 5, 2018 till December 31, 2018 is based on Articles 6 and 8 of the "Emergency Prevention Measures for Severe Deterioration of Air Quality". The main work is to assist the EPA in reviewing and inspecting the pollution sources and the places with the control measures. During the execution of the project, we assist the agency to handle the contingency, implementation of notification and message passing. In addition, through the project we improve the air pollution control results, assist the organization in marketing and publicizing the results of air pollution prevention and air pollution knowledge in order to achieve the goal of the protection for the whole people.
All the items of this project have been completed. During the period of statistical implementation, 16 cases of the air quality deterioration prevention and control plan were reviewed, 266 factories were checked during the period of deterioration, 41 in September, 75 in October, 75 in November, and 75 in December. In order to provide people with self-protection when the air quality deteriorate, the air quality information is propagated during the execution period.
