The scope of the project was the review and supervision the approved environmental impact assessment (EIA) reports of various development projects, which included the 3rd phase of the Central Taiwan Science Park development project (Houli Science Park), the Tree Valley Park development modification project, the 4th phase of the 6th naphtha cracker expansion project of the Formosa Plastics Corporation, the 3rd naphtha cracker renovation and expansion project of the CPC Corporation, Taiwan. The project team assisted the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) to implement the “Environmental Impact Assessment Act” and to monitor the commitments concluded in the environmental impact assessment reports during each development stage in the construction and operation period. The project also assisted the EPA in the analysis of EIA-related development, categorization of improvement to the planning of EIA and provided input related to the implementation of EIA.
