Taichung Greenhouse Gas Reductions and Low-Carbon Community Promotion Project initiated on Feburary 24nd of 2018 to February 23nd of 2019, the project is in its 12th month of operation and has completed the targets from the first phase in accordance with the contract. The results of the project are as follows: 1. Two workshops hosted addressing the special subsidy programs for the energy saving and carbon emission reduction facility installation in institutions, schools and apartment buildings, 2. Initial reviewed and on-site investigations had been conducted for the 105 applications, 3. Final documents reviewed and on-site checked for the qualified 102 apartment buildings and schools had been conducted, 4. Contest hosted to award outstanding institutions, schools for the improvement or installation of energy saving and carbon emission reduction facility in their premises, 5.Administrative assistance provided in support of the abovementioned subsidy program, 6. Completion of follow-up on the 20 recipient facilities of the energy saving subsidy program in the past 3 year, 7. Completed two forms of the plan or mechanism to assist in the formulation or revision of the municipal low-carbon facility improvement program. 8.Completion of the report for the Taichung Low-Carbon City Offce’s inquiry, 9.Provision of short-term and mid-term strategies in accordance with Taichung’s GHG emission reduction goals,10. Provision of the regulations for second phase of control on large GHG emitters, 11. Conducted one review meeting for the amendment on the regualtion and the related supporting meausres for the Taichung GHG Emitters Self-Managemnt Program, 12.Provision of detail review and suggested amendments on Taichung city autonomous regulations on GHG emitting sources and related executional procedure, 13. Provision of proposal guidelines, templatse, standard forms and other supplementary policies to standardize self-managment plan proposed by the GHG emitters in Taichung city, 14. Completion of 3 seminars regarding GHG emission reduction control, 15. Completion of the analysis on top 200 carbon emitting public and private premises, 16. Completion of 60 on-site inventory on large GHG emitters in Taichung city, 17. Completion of the analysis on the Taichung GHG emitters’ inventory reports, 18. Completion of the review on the 23 submitted inventory reports from the regulated and voluntary GHG emitters, 19.Provision of the Taichung city-level GHG inventory report including the data gathering and analysis, 20. Provision of the per capita emissions based on the Taichung city-level GHG inventory report, 21. Completion the database construction for Taichung GHG emission data of 2005-2017 and the maintenance of the low-carbon community website, 22.Completion of 6 seminars regarding air pollution protection, GHG emission reduction and energy saving and carbon reduction, renewable energy, global warming and other environmental related themes, 23. Completion in the design and making of 6 promotional materials on GHG emission reduction and energy saving and carbon reduction topics, 24. Provision of 1000 units of promotional items related to energy saving and carbon recuctions, 25. Completion of 3 tasks assigned or in support of events according to the need of the Taichung EPB or Enviornmental Protection Bureau, 26. Completion of 12 tasks in support of EPA or Taichung EPB SIP program, 27. Provision of 12 media pieces in relation to GHG emission reductions,28. Completion of the 12-month directed line service, 29.Provision 3 sets of ipads with Wifi, 30. Provision of the 12-month released printer, surveillance and other supplementary equipments.
