This project assisted the EPA to operate and maintain the in-use vehicles noise reporting website system, and planed and completed the addition of cloud database and online reporting area. For the past ten years, over 330,000 reporting cases were received from the public reported and the police alerted. The number of reported cases decreased this year, after analysis of reported case declined by the police alerted reduced and the plan of not to change modified exhaust pipe again to reduce the modified of the vehicle. One training course for the EPD officials、policemen、motor vehicles organizations was held and the vehicle noise measurement procedure was demonstrated. Communicate through various units to enhance the effectiveness of joint audits. The EPD completed inspection vehicles noise a total of 686 sites this year, there were 1,507 vehicles unqualified as the percentage was 48.1%. Vehicle noise measure instruments and technical support for EPD was conducted in 12 places in this project, supported EPD to inspect Large Heavy Motorcycle. In addition, the EPA continues to promote the plan of preventing the qualified vehicles from changing back to the modified exhaust pipe. The number of reported cases has been significantly reduced in these years. It shows that the owner has reduced the willingness to modified the high noise exhaust pipe.
