During the annual project was conducted, two information sessions about indoor air quality (IAQ) have been held this year. The objects were the public sites announced by the Taiwan EPA (Environmental Protection Administration), nursing care institution, post-natal care institution and those needed to be re-examined in 2018, includes parent-child center, public founding nongovernmental operate baby care center, sightseeing factory. Additionally, a cross-office horizontal negotiation meeting, discussing responsibilities and obligation of each office and work items of individual division.
Regarding the planning of patrolling and inspection, direct reading instrument-based measurements were conducted in the restricted zones and where people usually stay for 176 public sites within Tainan City.there are 53 sports and fitness places and a barbecue restaurant in conjunction with the Sports Department Consumer Protection Office at the joint inspection, Among them there were 24 instantaneous highwith value;inspecting and measuring of 45 second batch announcement sites befor inspection, the sites of 19 have instantaneous high values; 77 inspection counseling in those needed to be re-examined in 2018, the sites of 48 have instantaneous high values, The high-value items for inspection were carbon dioxide(CO2), formaldehyde, TVOC, PM10 and PM2.5.
According to inspecting and measuring of standard approaches for the firstly and secondly announced public sites¬-principles for inspecting and measuring regulated by Taiwan EPA, there were 44 public sites and 232 items have been performed in this project. Within this inspections there were two public site Numerical analysissing, there was one public site (University of Kang Ning ) bacterial concentration and two public sites (Jianan Psychiatric Center and Tainan municipal an-nan hospital) where bacteria and formaldehyde exceeded the regulated standard. Now two public site were Improvement completed, there was one public site improvements. In addition during the annual project we were counseling 42 projects for the maintenance of indoor air quality in public and private places, In order to increase the understanding of staffs about IAQ related problems and further solutions for these problems, professional field guides were invited to assist seeking any possible pollution sources, and necessary advices for improvements were simultaneously provided on site for 8 public sites with higher measurements while they were patrolled and inspected or with higher monitoring results in this program.
Regular management and maintenance “Tainan city's indoor air quality information website” dynamically update the inspection results of the city's announcement site, taiwan EPA regulations promulgated and amended, policy promotion and related news and other information, And basic information for the announcement site management platform, Inspection data, replace maintenance management plan etc., keep abreast of the place of the announcement venue, conducive to management operations. Also released 2 press releases “New indoor air announcement place need to set up special responsibility staff” and “to guard indoor air space of the university, and make the students' reading environment better” News report.The examining and scoring performance concerning IAQ has been achieved by Environmental Protection Bureau of Tainan City Government through the help of our team. Self-scoring was at 100 points in “2018 City Municipal ＆ County Government Cooperating on Promotion of the Management Act governing indoor air quality (IAQ)”.
For the 31 firstly announced public sites in Tainan City, all the specialists for maintenance and management of IAQ have been set up via necessary assistance. Maintenance and management project of IAQ and the first version of standard procedures of regular examining have been drawn up.After being guided, 75 of 76 secondly announcing public sites in this city had set up specialists for maintenance ＆ management of IAQ as of end of December in 2018; all of the sections in the Proposal for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Maintenance; and 72carried out the first IAQ measurements by the standard methods.
