To make Taichung a low-carbon communities and a blissful city that people yearned for, Taichung City Government implemented many relevant low carbon project and action hoping to match the development vision of low-carbon life city. Low-Carbon Communitites Operation and Performance Assessment Program are to meet the policy that Environmental Protection Administration Executive Yuan promoted. The project hoping to promote the ECO concept from the bottom to the top: from community, village, district, to Taichung city and central living circle of Taiwan.
At present, the participation rate of the low-carbon sustainable home certification in Taichung (until November) has been increased from 50% to 55%. Besides we achieved two silver certification in villages, and further, the first silver certification in district of the Central Life Circle. Besides, the team had expansion of the low-carbon communities, breaking through the zero participation rate of DongshiDistrict. Thw whole project aims not only to keep "Excelsior" but also "Expansion" , in that way we could expand the effectiveness of participation rate and execution rate to the maximum.
Several achievements have been completed in the program.
1.Counseled30Villages to complete Nomination certification, 2Villages to achieveSilver certification, 6 Villages to achieve Bronze certification,5Districts to achieve Bronze certification and 1 District to achieve Silver certification. Besides, we are in the process for inspecting Taichung documents of Silver certification.
2.Track and check 18 certified financial subsidiedvillages of in 2017.
3.Completed 18 Bronze certification extensions.
4.Counseled8Village registration application of the establishment of low-carbon subsidies.
5.Conducted 4publicity activities and 1 education and training.
6.Assist in various examinations and administrative tasks.
We will continue to promote the work of this project. In order to achieve the expected goals of the project and assisting Taichung City in achieving the vision of sustainable low carbon development.
