The Project is based on Articles 6 of the "Emergency Prevention Measures for Severe Deterioration of Air Quality" to revise preventive measures of air quality deterioration in Kaohsiung City by meteorology and pollution source characteristics. And Articles 8 for assist the EPA in reviewing and inspecting the pollution sources and the places with the control measures.We assist the agency to handle the contingency, implementation of notification and message passing, through the project we improve the air pollution control results, assist the organization in marketing and publicizing the results of air pollution prevention and air pollution knowledge.In addition, we use air quality model to trace the pollution sources and establish the process for analysis of reduction scenarios.
During the implementation period, it is also necessary to collect daily websites or social media to carry out air pollution and grievance information, and to produce analytical analysis of written information on public opinion content to assist the authorities in making response time. In order to disseminate the correct air quality and air pollution control information to the public, we operate the "Kaohsiung City Government Environmental Protection Bureau" Facebook and LINE@, through posts and draws, and cooperate with the professional anchor recording the future products forecast for the next two days. During the period of poor air pollution, we explain the EPB's air pollution control and related stimuli, and raise the level of public awareness.
All the items of this project have been completed. During the period of statistical implementation, 26 cases of the air quality deterioration prevention and control plan were reviewed, 125 factories were inspected during the period of deterioration, providing air quality daily analysis reports, 151 deterioration response achievement on KSEPB website and facebook .In order to provide people with self-protection when the air quality deteriorate, the air quality information is propagated during the execution period. Including Kaohsiung City Environmental Protection Agency fan increased from 16,252 to 31,647, LINE@ had 2.2 thousands members and delivered total 449 informations, air quality forecast vedio on Youtube, there were 205 thousands visits.During the implementation of the project, in conjunction with the relevant meetings, we held 3 times advocacy activities, 1session about air quality deteriorioration responses of factories, and provided 12 times air quality deteriorioration reports for command centers and contingency meetings.
