This project is to help EPA to develop an environmental education social network and invite the related people to this network. We have developed the “Environmental Education with You and Me” community in the Facebook on September 6 and applied the official account in the Line on September 18 to ensure the high penetration rate of messages.
After developing the social network, we held the raffles to increase the popularity of community and encourage the participation. We also sent the messages by e-mail to the connected partners, environmental education people, counselling group and organizations with environmental education subsidy. In addition, we also set up the booths to invite more people to join our community in the related programs. Until February 27, 2020, we have 1,326 members in FB and 439 members in Line community.
During November 2019 to February 2020, we have accomplished 15 online environmental education programs and help EPA to announce 2 program messages related to the Green Points. Until February 2020, there are 458 people participating in the programs and 1,908,900 points delivered. Through those programs, we make the attendees understand the difference between the airbox and the monitoring station of air quality, share the environmentally friendly issues of plastic reduction, water and energy saving in our daily life and pay more attention to the environmental issues.
We have held the two training courses of environmental education. The program includes network promotion, making environmental education video by yourself, education materials sharing and promotion case sharing. The two training courses were held in Zhishan Cultural and Ecological Garden on November 28 and in Qiaotou Sugar Factory on December 9, respectively. There were totally 116 people joined the courses and over 90% felt satisfied. The results showed the course design met the requirement of participants. The attendees gave the positive feedback that the course is helpful to learn how to make a good video and is beneficial to promote the environmental education affairs.
We also held the experience sharing and exchange program on December 13-14 and totally 34 members in the social network come to this program. We set up the subject of “partner interaction and management in environmental education” in the program and got the following consensuses: applying the hot issue and information technology to attract the people’s attention and understanding the concern issues in the new generation to enhance their motivation. For the subject of “connection between environmental education and corporate social responsibility”, we got the conclusions: improving corporate image with feedback to local residences and selecting the proper SDGs by different industry types for the sustainable development.
This project successfully develops the environmental education social network and breaks through the temporal and spatial limitation to activate the exchange of national information. The network continuously invites the environmental education partners to promote the related programs together, to improve the profession of community partners and to boost the energy of environmental education.
